About Brett Matich


With a background in mining and mineral exploration extending to the early 1990s, Brett Matich leads Cap-Ex Ventures Ltd. as president, CEO, and major shareholder. The Toronto Stock Exchange Venture (TSXV)-listed Vancouver firm has raised $25 million since 2011 and undertaken numerous drillings on Block 103 in the Labrador Trough near Schefferville, Quebec. Brett Matich and his team have made significant discoveries in Block 103’s Northwest and Greenbush zones, with estimated KeMag and LabMag iron deposits totaling approximately 8 billion tonnes. 

Matich’s firm is involved in a number of other iron ore exploration and extraction planning projects in the area surrounding Schefferville, including Snelgrove, Redmond, and Lac Connelly. In 2012, Cap-Ex had the distinction of earning a top-three ranking among the 10 firms listed on the TSXV 50. Since 2010, Brett Matich has additionally served as CEO and president of Natan Resources Ltd., Australia and Europe, which is also listed on the TSXV.
